Our Space

Too many working-class young people are made to feel unwelcome in public spaces.

The Our Space pledge has been developed by a committee of working-class young people from across Greater Manchester to hold those responsible for creating, maintaining and managing public spaces to account.

The pledge outlines five key themes to help create inclusive and accessible public spaces for working-class young people. These are: access, representation, safety, understanding and respect.

Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

By signing up to the Our Space pledge, public spaces are committing to improving their policies and practices under these five themes to become more class-inclusive and improve the experience of young people within their spaces.
