our strategy (2024-2028)

Foreword: Becky Bainbridge, RECLAIM CEO

Since 2007, RECLAIM has established a reputation for nurturing young working-class leaders. Through short-term initiatives and multi-year programs, our dedicated youth workers have engaged thousands of young people across Greater Manchester and beyond, tackling the intersections of class inequality.

Yet, over the past decade, we have witnessed a deepening of class inequality, with working-class young people facing huge challenges. The impacts of austerity and an unequal education system have only intensified the need for collective power. It's vital that we recognise a working-class identity as a source of strength, not a limitation.

To continue championing working-class young people in our quest for a fair and just world, we must evolve our approach. In the past year, we have taken the time to reflect on our mission and vision, developing a new strategy for the next four years (2024-2028).
