Our team
CEO
Becky Bainbridge
A proud Yorkshire lass (with Kiwi heritage), honorary Mancunian, and a lover of Irn-Bru.
Becky has a longstanding background working to remove the barriers that lie ahead of far too many young people achieving their goals, whatever those goals may be.
As someone who didn't attend University and who understands the impact that not having a degree can have on career prospects, she is also a keen champion of non-graduate talent. She also loves dogs, Rugby League and the sea.
Head of Campaigns
Katie Shaw
Katie has spent the last two decades organising with young people to disrupt the post-16 education system, working across policy, union organising, campaigns and training.
She is passionate about how working-class young people leading radical change in our education system can build solidarity. She is currently doing a part-time PhD exploring anarchism and further education.
If she was ever on Mastermind, her specialist subject would be Antarctica.
Operations Manager
April Preston
April is from Stockport and has lived all over Manchester. She is a proud care-leaver with lived experience of homelessness. April has had many successes fighting gender-based violence and advancing the rights of women and marginalised genders, from grassroots to parliamentary legislative change.
April manages key resources, coordinating with teams to generate system-changing projects. She develops strategies to amplify youth voices and create impactful change. She handles safeguarding and well-being at RECLAIM.
April is a massive 1980s music nerd and has two rescue sausage dogs.
Youth Worker
Sophie Conquest
Sophie is driven by a determination to make systemic change. Her background as an English teacher gave her an insight into the vast inequalities and challenges faced by young working-class people in Manchester.
In her position as a youth worker on the Full Time Fierce programme, she aims to empower and enable young people to overcome societal barriers and create meaningful change.
She's a lover of books, plays, cats and spooky films.
Youth Worker
Michael Abeki
Michael joined RECLAIM through the Rank Foundation and Time to Shine programme as a youth worker, quickly realising that youth work was what he loved to do.
Supporting young people with their mental health, celebrating their successes and empowering them to fight the good fight against the barriers and inequalities that many working-class young people face is his aim.
Outside of work, he can be found with his nose in a book or watching films from around the world.
Senior Youth Worker
Kofi Gyamfi
Kofi Gyamfi is RECLAIM’s Senior Youth Worker. Kofi has delivered youth work across Greater Manchester.
They are passionate about empowering young people, especially through creativity.
Kofi comes from a creative background, and is a published poet, a spoken word artist, a musician and all-round creative.
Finance Officer
Lima Ghosh
A proud member of RECLAIM Project Ltd, Lima joined in 2017 and is from Manchester.
As a finance officer, Lima deals with day-to-day finance functions including purchase invoices, bank reconciliation, management accounts and payroll.
She loves to play with numbers, plants and nature.
Digital Communications Officer
Dean Dallman
Dean graduated with a journalism degree in 2015 and has worked in marketing and communications ever since. He moved into the non-profit sector in 2021 after seeing more opportunities to make an impact.
He is passionate about amplifying the voices of people that aren't heard. Especially young people who can't access much-needed resources and connections, but have the potential to make the world a better place.
His favourite part of the job is giving working-class young people a platform to share their views. He's excited to see what systemic changes the organisation can make in the coming years.
Campaigns Programme Manager
Olivia Ouwehand
Liv has worked and volunteered in various youth and community work, arts and campaign settings. She is proudest when the young people she works with demonstrate critical thinking and a strong sense of social justice whilst maintaining care for one another.
You can usually find Liv with her cats, books, films, food or at a protest. There's little more exciting to her than the idea of our RECLAIM young people banding together with mutual care to take on those in power and - better yet - them winning!
As someone who is half-Dutch, it should come as no surprise that Liv has a love of cheese on toast at all times of the day.
